Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of the IT strategy and service to support the Club’s growth, and take full responsibility for its delivery including maintaining IT infrastructure, managing a significant programme of modernisation & improvement and keeping the Club up to date with relevant developing technologies.

You will also lead the IT department on a day to day basis ensuring that all services provided and received are performed to the agreed levels and follow the highest standards across all Club sites.

Your duties will include:

• Devising and implementing an IT strategy that supports the direction of the Club, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the service delivered is appropriate to their business requirements
• Undertaking and leading a programme of modernisation projects including high density stadium Wi-Fi, Retail site rebranding and platform migration, warehousing solution, Time and Attendance system, Access Control and IP TV
• Planning and managing the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from external suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness and performance manage suppliers, ensuring they perform well against the agreed SLA and deal with shortcomings effectively
• Overseeing Teamcard stadium access system management and administration and support, and managing the Talent Ticketing solution including all ticket printers
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups and hardware and software systems, managing Antivirus Tools, Network Security and Intrusion detection, Network Infrastructure configuration, segregation and security
• HP Switch configuration and administration, Cisco router configuration, Aruba Wifi network management and configuration, Sophos Firewall configuration and management
• IP Telephony (Avaya) SIPS Configuration and Management
• Microsoft Office 365 Administration and SharePoint development and administration
• Supporting the application & usage of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage Accounts & Sage Payroll
• Managing the Epos Systems (Zonal & EposNow)
• Undertaking Payment Card device configuration and maintenance, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCIDSS) Compliance
• Guaranteeing the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision and managing crisis situations
• Providing users with correct secure access to relevant systems and networks including remote users, and offer support and advice
• Managing the configuration, roll out, provision and support of PCs, laptops, mobile devices and phones
• Ensuring the Club’s network, systems and data are secure with appropriate defences and processes in place to keep security up to date, and Disaster Recovery, backup systems are appropriate, regularly tested and effective
• Managing, training and developing IT team members so that work is carried out to the highest standards, and staff are engaged
• Ensuring that the Club is compliant with all hard and software licensing laws, adheres to legislative changes such as GDPR and that appropriate IT standards are in place.

You will be required to work on all home Match Days and other events, and your responsibilities will be support and troubleshoot the following:
• Ticketing and Stadium Access Solutions
• Retail, Hospitality and Kiosk Epos Systems
• Match Day Production including live feed to all TVs
• OB Staff with onsite infrastructure
• Tracab Optical Tracking System, Hudle wide angle camera technology
• Goal Line Technology staff with onsite infrastructure
• Public Announcement system
• Any other IT/system related issues

You will have:
• Proven track record and practical experience of managing critical IT systems, knowledge of SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server and experience of using a range of common application packages including MS Office and anti-virus software
• Degree or equivalent in IT or a relevant discipline
• Knowledge of the following: Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, Windows 7 & 10, Active Directory, Hyper V, Linux Server configuration and administration, Virtual Private Networks, Mac OS, Mac Server, Magento/ WordPress/ Hosting, Powershell and IIS
• Experience in CCTV and Access Control, Audio Visual, Public Address systems and Print Services (Xerox)
• Highly developed problem-solving skills, ability to work well under pressure and flexibility to deal with issues out of hours and at short notice
• Experience in developing a culture of continuous service improvement and the ability to embed this ethos within your team
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation
• Strong leadership and management skills, commercial awareness and excellent business partnering skills in order to drive performance
• Sound organisational skills, able to prioritise & manage own workload & that of allocated staff
